“TK4LOM”. The “Crystalized” Stormtrooper helmet is covered in individual Swarovski crystals. An original piece created by John Carlucci

Most ridiculously unnecessary thing ever.  Doesn’t mean it isn’t fucking hilarious.

Color of head

Time to begin the final color grading/correction process for Swamphead.  Doing so blasting some Bruce Dickenson.  No other way to do it!

Trailer to Drew Rosas “Blood Junkie”.  Fun 80’s style Wisconsin horror which was picked up by Troma this last year.  I had the pleasure of screening this alongside a rough of Swamphead last year at my yearly Movie Fest.  VERY good time.  Thumbs up all the way.

The perpetual tornado

I genuinely suck at these blog sites.  Really fucking suck.  Why?  I am way too scatterbrained to commit to continually posting content to them for any sort of readership to keep up on.  I have a wordpress account for the production team, Rabid Child Films, which is pretty easy to find through google, but get so busy I never keep up on it.  Also, the rest of the guys are allergic to any form of blogging so that means it never gets updated. ha ha.

BUT, I certainly keep up with Twitter and Facebook.  It’s mostly because it is quick and people actually respond to it, where more times than not I have no clue if people are actually reading anything I have to say anyway.  I have decided that for the time being google+ is a load of bullocks, so I will see what this has to offer for longer form posting that I certainly feel inclined to do on occasion.  That in no way shape or form means that I will do it often, but we’ll test it out.  So, let’s get to it….

So here we are.  Finally at the end of Post Production on Screaming in High Heels: The Rise and Fall of the Scream Queen era, Jason Paul Collum’s love letter to the “big 3”; Brinke Stevens, Michelle Bauer, and Linnea Quigley.  Feeling very good about it and very excited to get it out there for the fans of the films and the girls.  Jason is extremely happy, excited, and ready to unleash it.  Hopefully we did a good enough job that new fans can jump from it into discovering the filthy fun world of these films. Everyone we had the pleasure to work with on content over the course of the project, were overwhelmingly gracious and helped us make something that has been equated to by people that have seen it so far as ideal for the “horror geek”  because it is stuff us horror fans gobble up without second thought.  It lives in our world and feeds us content that many know of, but more that some have not. Over 60 feature films, of the 200 + the ladies made, were combed through and other numerous TV shows, interviews, music videos, behind the scenes footage, etc were utilized to give a fairly wide base to tell the girls story through their work and words.  It’s fast paced, energetic, and most of all fun.  We’ve had nothing but positive feedback so I hope that continues for Jason as he deserves it.  He is a great guy who has slung it out for a long time.  So go support him, cause he has worked his ass off to organize this puppy.  Get him the support he needs to make a new film.  Not only cause that means I get more work (ha ha) but because it is our hope to bring you some really great stuff in the near future. He has some fun ideas that would be exciting to bring to the fans.  Support him and that will happen. I promise you.

So, of course that brings up the question of what’s next?  As anyone that follows me knows, I have been talking endlessly for a couple years now about a film I have been helping fellow Rabid Child Films member Justin Propp make with Dustin Drover called Swamphead.  We are getting closer to it’s finishing point as well as we have been getting pieces of the soundtrack from a friend of ours that are fitting perfectly with the film and it is reaching that exciting time where the film is finally feeling done.  Keep up with me here, or at twitter @mrbishop77, or on the Swamphead facebook page when we announce the premiere, which will be in the next month in Oshkosh.  Got off the phone with Jon Hanusa, the 3rd of RCF’s, and we have some exciting things planned for the premiere….if we can ever find time.

Then that brings me to the last bit of future babble.  It is my hope to complete the script on what I hope to be my first feature in the next month or 2.  Not gonna release much info on it yet as I am pretty damn superstitious about such things, but I am gonna say that it is pretty fucking dark.  Much darker than expected.  SO that means soon I will be hitting up the fans, and fellow midwest filmmakers for interest in making a film possibly next year.  Consider this the bug in the ear, or warning if you will.

Come say hi to Jason and I in 2 weeks at Flashback Weekend where Screaming in High Heels is going to premiere.  August 13th 6:30PM. I’ll be hanging with J Friday and Saturday at his merch table.  Come.  Chat with us, but most of all come see the documentary.  We’ve been working hard and want people other than us to see it.  Maybe you will actually see Linnea Quigley there with Jason introducing the film…..well yeah you will. ha ha.  Anyway, thanks for the time.
